Be Your Own Algorithm

Some are curious how the algorithm rots the soul even if the feed is all positive messaging.  The rot occurs due to the self-replicating feedback.  Without random influence from an outside source the soul is unchallenged.  From not being challenged the soul begins to atrophy and wither away to rot in its own unchallenged positivity.

By going on adventures, seeking new experiences and learning new skills, the soul grows.  Find your own sources of positivity and perspective.  Avoid the soulless algorithm programmed with an evil agenda by the authorities of the culture.

Two Types of User

Some come only to scroll.  Some mostly scroll and rarely post.  Some scroll a lot and post a little.  Some scroll a little and post a lot.  Some rarely scroll and mostly post.  Some come only to post.

We prefer to be the latter.  The soul becomes more lost and rotten if one moves from the latter to the former.

Does posting lost and rotten content also lose and rot the soul?

     Yes.

So, scrolling doesn’t itself rot the soul.  Instead the soul is passive when scrolling.  Whereas, the soul is active while posting.

     Yes.

So, we prefer to be the latter as the soul is more active!

Preferred Platform

Our author prefers the Blogspot platform for blogging.  The preference is certainly not for Blogspot’s allowance of truly free speech; but instead, because the platform is relatively dated.  The platform does not have an algorithm and devoted feed.  Users can leave a comment, author a blog with words, images, sound or video, or subscribe to a blog.  Finding other blogs on the platform can be quite the challenge.

Blogspot works essentially like all social media without as much fanfare and soul consuming algorithms.

Despite Blogspot being our author’s preferred platform, in an effort to expand his effective influence, he created an Instagram . . .

The sweet, sensitive soul that he is, will be greatly challenged by the soul consuming algorithm.  May God bless him and keep him safe from the evil of the algorithm architects.

Blog Post Pipeline

In an effort to maintain consistency of posting, our dude decided to create for himself a pipeline for blog posts.  In this way the method allows for the ebbs and flows of inspiration and motivation.

The pipeline will consist of draft, transcribe, edit, publish.

The draft is his handwritten expression of inspiration.  Transcribe is the transfer from analog to digital.  Edit is the transfer from digital to code for the world wide web.  Publish is to have the post posted to the blog.

Thus for consistent weekly publishing, each week the author will draft a blog post, transcribe the blog post drafted from the week before, edit the transcribed post from the week before that was drafted two weeks before, and automatically publish the post that was edited the week before that was transcribed two weeks before that was drafted three weeks before.

This way, if the author is uninspired for a couple weeks, there are still other posts in the works and the opportunity to catch up to his self imposed quota will be more attainable.

Never-Over

The Spirit of Christmas is ongoing, unceasing, and ever constant.

Though the moment of midnight that one night a year is only a passing instance, the spirit is ever present.

Joy to the world, for those who, solely by their presence, keep the Christmas spirit each moment in each day of every year.

Santa, the Outlaw

Did you know Santa is an outlaw?

He sneaks in through the chimney to avoid detection by the authorities of the culture.  Otherwise, Santa would bring his gifts in the light of day.

The authorities of the culture do not like Christmas cheer — the joy challenges their authority to keep people miserable.

Santa is a welcomed guest to the homes who desire the gift of his presence.  Those who believe in him cannot be held down in misery by the authorities of the culture.

     May your Christmases be White
