Protecting Pennsylvania's Poor

The following communique was sent to the author’s representative and senator in Pennsylvania’s General Assembly. . .

Many of the commonwealth’s residents are in dire financial circumstances forcing them to live in substandard housing.

The unfortunate circumstance isn’t limited to the residents of our commonwealth alone but across the nation.  The Federal government acknowledges this hard financial truth and respects the truth by granting money not to the poor, but to the landlords to adequately house lady liberty’s family.

At this point in time, landlords in the commonwealth in the wood of Penn have liberty to refuse application to their unit soley if a potential resident possesses a Voucher to grant the landlord with rent monies.

The liberty of the landlords to ignore and deny application for suitable housing endangers our Commonwealth’s residents and economy.

We must provide for the general welfare and insure domestic tranquility by denying a person housing, not by the means in which they pay, but how they treat the premises and community around them.
