How you are is how the environment can be. If you are manic-depressive the environment around you will be too. If you are full of angst and anxiety so will be your environment. If you are calm and understanding, so will be your environment. If you welcome unhealthy entertainment into your environment you will emulate the entertainment. With some emulations, the soul contracts from full expression, other emulations are more direct from the negative entertainment source.
The dude was doing laundry at the local laundromat recently. The washers and dryers are coin operated, thus requiring patrons to deposit, quarter by quarter, each coin. One patron who seemed to have a long history of a negative, unhealthy, contractive existence was struggling to deposit the coins. The patron used anger and frustration to deposit coins and was not very successful with each attempt.
The dude, aware of his environment gave extra awareness to his own breath and serenity. He calmly and patiently successfully deposited each quarter. The disparaged patron noticed the dude in his beaming tranquility and began to emulate him. Soon the disparaged patron successfully deposited the quarters with more grace and ease.
