If you are employed you are the bitch of your boss.

You may have a say in your job, but for the most part you tow the line or you are cut.  If your boss decides to lay you off you are out of income.  Being employed is for the spineless.  Those who lack virtue and liberty also lack independence and choose to be a bitch for a boss.

The author had a recent experience inquiring about a possible service opportunity for a mechanic.  The author asked if the mechanic would be willing to work with an independent contractor.  The mechanic mentioned insurance might be an issue.  The author said he will have insurance to cover liability at the shop.  The mechanic said he likes his "guys" to come in at 08:30.  The author said he is not your "guy" but an independent contractor and will come in at a time convenient for both himself and the mechanic.  The term "guy(s)" may as well be replaced with "bitch(es)."
