To Fran, the Human Resources Director at the YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties:
I’m sorry to see you wrap yourself into this conspiracy of lies about the wages of lifeguards in the aquatics department.
How much more time do you need?
On Monday 23 October you complained about not having enough time. A week and a half ago.
Now today, Thursday 2 November, you continue to complain about not having enough time.
I brought this real and serious issue to management's attention Wednesday 4 October. Four weeks ago! Management had a full period cycle to address this.
You were first made aware of this Friday 6 October. How much more time do you need to sit around, eating donuts and chit-chatting before addressing real and serious issues?
I thought we were past this Franny. . . on Monday October 23 you said “we will pay you for hours worked and the shifts for which Danielle excused you.”
What about the rate discrepancy!?!?
The rate due to me for any and all shifts, except training shifts, is $17.5821 per hour as described, declared and given to me in paychecks dated 7/27 and 8/10 and prior paychecks as well.
Before I do your job for you and give to you the breakdown of wages and compensation due to me.
Please acknowledge these truthful facts:
Some lifeguards are paid the same for supervisory shifts as they are for regular shifts;
Not all lifeguards are paid the same for the same shift;
Only my pay was affected, no one else's;
My pay was affected after a verbal warning;
The YMCA did not provide notice of the decrease in pay.
Any amount of disagreement of the above truthful facts is an admission of cognitive dissonance and conspiracy of lies perpetrated by Charlene, Anahita, Danielle, and now yourself.
Regarding my emotional response, how would you feel given the lies given to me? I am experiencing emotional and mental anguish from the dishonest practices of your organization. What sort of compensation do you think is fair for my pain and suffering? $4,000.00?
What prompted the above?
In my review of the underpayment drama, I discovered something concerning.
My pay was reduced for the pay period following a verbal warning meeting with Danielle, Charlene, Andres, Rob and myself.
The details of what transpired at that meeting are also concerning. One individual present was and is not pleased they had to depart for more YMCA work before the meeting's conclusion.
The fact that Anahita did not simply apologize for the underpayment and promise to address the mistake strongly and clearly proves a conspiracy of lies expressed by her and Danielle about my wages and the wages of my co-workers.
For tomorrow’s paycheck I expect $294.78 before taxes.
I only received $70. I'm tired of the lies and dishonesty.
