This blog post meets the self-imposed requirement of 48 blog posts per year.

Why 48 posts per year?

There are four decans for each of the twelve signs of the zodiac.  Each decan occupies a “week.”  Ergo, one blog post per week.

Now, earlier this year the author failed to publish his self-imposed deadline of one blog post per week.  He committed to making up for the missed posts throughout the rest of the year.  The blog archive measures the typicalness of a writer's procrastination.

No Other Cheek

The following is an excerpt from an unnamed story currently unpublished by the author:

In the locker room balling our eyes out, complaining how people can be mean to us, we shared with whomever was present,  

The general sentiment of the public for when people are mean to me, even though their unkindness hurtful, their unkindness is accepted and welcomed as normal behavior because, people can be mean intentionally or unintentionally - it is part of being human - but you, Tyler, don’t you be mean, shame on you if you are mean.

Dangers of Tinicum Park

    Chillin at a county park Labor Day Weekend 2023.  The park is out there in the country.

    Nice to have an “out there” in Bucks County - a quickly developing metropolis of the Philadelphia sprawl.

    So, out there in Bucks country is the border of another state.  Being so far out there in Bucks county the nearest cell tower is in New Jersey.  Phone service isn’t the best because of the out thereness of human development.  For regular phone calls the circumstance is fine; for emergency phone calls, the outherenesss poses a problem for park goers in Pennsylvania.

    Emergency calls from Pennsylvania are dispatched to the nearest cell tower in New Jersey.  As of the chillin date, dispatch operators in New Jersey have no protocol for emergency calls from Pennsylvania; and local dispatch wasn’t trained for protocol for ranger response after hours.

    The dude became aware of these dangers in communication with a Park Ranger.

    The park ranger came around in the morning to collect camping fees for the prior night.

    The dude explained he called local dispatch multiple times the prior night due to excessive partying into the wee hours.  There was no response by any authority.

    In normal conditions, anytime dispatch is called and a reasonable request for authority is made, law enforcement makes an appearance.  The dude is well practiced in responding to law enforcement who are responding to just such a call.  “Hey dude, we are here because we got a call.  You’re cool, just had to stop by because of the call.  Have a good day,” law enforcement would say.

    Apparently, the dude and everyone are on their own when they go camping at Tinicum Park, out-there!

    Eventually, the partying immigrants with no regard for neighbors quieted to sleep around 4am.  This guy decided to play some good ‘ol WPRB as loud as Wilma could blast.  The dude stood defiantly atop the picnic table in the last-quarter moonlight.  A ten minute Italian ensemble piece ensued; echoing the valley that early morning.

Never Gone

    A story of a time that changed the
course of history for one particular dude.

    The author was writing a blog, beginning to share his insights and experiences with the world.

    Back when the Ambitious Bull assisted the dude in the manifestation of the set-up, he reassured the dude’s deleted work from the phone was never gone
from his mind, body, and soul.

Ain’t No Shame

Ain’t No shame in the game we got.  No shame in the game.

What is this game?

This game is a game of survival.

What makes survival a game?

Well, a game is composed of participants competing for some goal.

So, this game of survival is composed of living beings competing for existence.

The ONLY RULE is to survive.

Regardless of laws man creates.  The ultimate law of all is to survive.

How living beings survive is incredibly diverse.  Is there shame in anything for survival, even if it means degrading oneself, others or the environment around them?

Never!

Feel free to be as negative, unhealthy, and contractive as possible if that’s how survival will happen.  Otherwise, surviving is best done in a positive, healthy, expansive way.  However, in fact, there is neither a positive or negative way to survive.  Just survive.

The author had felt shameful for his circumstance of van life.  Unable to work a wage enough to cover rent.  Unable to find positive, healthy, expansive people or family willing to cohabitate, except during covid!  Unable to care entirely for himself, he felt shameful.

Why he felt shameful is due to an ignorant belief he had about survival.  From a portion of his ignorant upbringing, he believed that there is some sort of respectable way to survive.  He believed he should never ask for help and only give it.

The author now knows, there is no respectable way to survive.  All means of survival have instances of both beautiful generosity and cold selfishness.

Part of his past belief was due to his location.  He was in an affluent region of the country where many people had so much security in their survival, considerations of meager means were inconceivable.  Also, in the same location, were people with meager means who also believe to not ask for help.

Fleeing the onslaught of another Mid-Atlantic winter, he traveled to a sub-tropical region for warmth.  In this new location, many people come to flee the cold and share a similar means of survival from a vehicle.

How So Highlighted

    How is the dude’s hair so highlighted?

    Chlorine, from swimming in chlorinated pools, is the cause.

    Dudes and Bettys - we are having a moment of grief and thankfulness.  Grief for the hair that was.  Thankfulness for the hair of the man now, through all the waters.

Hair that was, Autumnal Equinox Eve 2020.

Becoming the man, Mercyday, Warweek, Spring Equinox 2022.

Dude, Mercyday, Warweek, First-Winter 2023, time of drafting.

    Before swimming so often in chlorinated pools, the dude’s hair would be highlighted by the Sun alone.

    The chlorine also caused the tips of the hair to break, slowly shortening the length.  In addition to the highlighted hair curiosity, people demonstrated interest in the shortening length, “Did you get a haircut?”

    “Nope, breakage from chlorine.” 

    Eventually, the dude’s prized body hair began to demonstrate breakage.  From the breakage, the body hair became coarse and bristly instead of soft and fluffy.

    Deeply concerned for the sanctity of his holy body, the dude traveled three days in Wilma to a tropical region near calm salt water.  By chance, he chose the magical Myakka forest hosting the legendary fountain of youth.  Soon, after salt water swimming and no chlorine pools, his body hair returned to glory.  The hair on his head is still damaged and in need of more care at time of drafting.

Our Daily Wit

        Give us this day our daily wit.

In a morning last winter the author awoke in a church.  The church was participating in a volunteer program “Code Blue” for homeless individuals, such as this author.  Having slept on an air mattress in a large room with his fellow wayward souls, the author needed a little caffeine pep to awaken and venture into the cold.

The kind and generous volunteers had coffee already prepared for their guests.  The coffee prepared was a single urn of coffee.  On the urn was masking tape with the marking of “Decaf.”
 

Curious, the author asked a volunteer, “Is decaf all we have?”

    

The volunteer looked at the label then looked back at the author and said, “Ohh. . . no.  The coffee in the urn is caffeinated coffee - it’s identifying as decaf!”

Exform

    Exform is a different type of form.  Two other forms, which are not exformed, are conform and transform.  To conform is to adjust to the form of a perceived environment.  To transform is to completely change form, to go from one form to the next.  Exform confounds convention.  Exform is unique, interesting and desirable.  Ultimately, exform is an expanded form.

    Unique attributes of an exformed state and soul are interesting and exciting.  The expanded form takes on new frontiers and is therefore pioneering.  These new frontiers lead to new opportunities!

    What value does exformation bring?  Exciting experience!

    Desirable is the exformed soul!  Not conformed to the conventional drab - the soul VIBES!  The vibe attracts interest; and in the interest, value is born.  And from that value, security develops for the exformed soul.

    The exformed soul is a maverick.  The life of a maverick is split between being vulnerable and being a leader.  The vulnerability arises due to the maverick’s nature of confounding convention.  Some instances exist when not conforming creates vulnerability for the self or environment.   For the same reason vulnerability arises, leadership opportunities arise.  The maverick sees and lives a different way, with equal or better results, creating leadership opportunities.

    Being so exformed can leave the soul isolated.  The isolated soul may appear vulnerable from not conforming to convention.  A main reason for the isolation is the inherent disruption to convention beliefs due to the expanded beliefs of the exformed soul.

    Ultimately the exformed soul is free, enlightened, like Buddha, Kapish.  The freedom of enlightenment creates a universe of expressly unique opportunities.  This freedom creates a disruption, confounding conventional conformists.
